It is an associated member of European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) and maintains active contacts with all international professional associations. |

RUSNANO Having developed its vision for the role the Russian Federation could play in the growing global nanotechnology industry, in 2007 the Russian government created state corporation Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies to execute its strategies and to build infrastructure for innovation. In March 2011, for transparency and effectiveness within the global high-tech investment community, the corporation was reorganized as open joint-stock company RUSNANO and the non-commercial Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs. The primary goal of RUSNANO is to commercialize nanotechnology advances through co-investment in projects with substantial economic potential. The Government of the Russian Federation owns 100 percent of the shares in RUSNANO. The Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs is aimed at creating infrastructure for innovation in the country. The Fund fosters advances in the nanoindustry by creating infrastructure, educational programs, and standards and encourages development in markets for nano-enabled products. Foundation for assistance to small innovative enterprises (FASIE) The Foundation is a public non-commercial organization founded in accordance with the Russian Federation government regulation of February 3, 1994, # 65; it is one of three national science foundations. The Russian Federation government has resolved that 1.5% of federal budget science funding will be allocated to the Foundation. Main goals of the Foundation:
A part of the Foundation’s capital goes to development of the technology transfer infrastructure, attraction of students and young RAS and universities’ scientists into innovative entrepreneurship, backing participation of companies in exhibitions and seminars, training managers, as well as creating a network of innovative technologies centers (ITC): 29 ITCs in more than 100 sq. m area which is put at the disposal of hundreds of enterprises on favorable terms have been created in Russia. The backed by Foundation enterprises have brought under manufacture near 3500 patented inventions, they have manufactured products to the amount of 6 bln rub.; their tax liabilities almost twice as big as the sum of public support, and production per one worker have reached 1.5 mln rub. Thousands of working places have been created at the firms.Main objectives of the Foundation for the nearest future – gradual movement of early-stage innovative companies based on the results of fundamental research towards R&D projects, as well as development of interaction with venture capital and other structures which take part in project financing all over the innovative cycle. |

SAINT PETERSBURG REGIONAL FOUNDATION FOR SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT Non-commercial organization created in 1992 by the Saint Petersburg Administration and Ministry of Science and Technical Policy of the RF.
